Simultaneous phase- and size-controlled synthesis of Ti[O.sub.2] nanorods via non-hydrolytic sol-gel reaction of syringe pump delivered precursors
Article Abstract:
The simultaneous phase- and size-controlled synthesis of Ti[O.sub.2] nanorods was achieved via the non-hydrolytic alkyl halide elimination reaction of titanium precursors continuously delivered via syringe pumps. The synthetic procedures are highly reproducible and offer significant advantages for the synthesis of I-D Ti[O.sub.2] nanoparticles.

Direct synthesis of nanowires with anatase and Ti[O.sub.2]-B structures at near ambient conditions
Article Abstract:
A new approach is described for the synthesis of titanium oxide nanowires under ambient pressure and temperature. The results have shown that nanowires with distinctive Ti[O.sub.2]-anatase and Ti[O.sub.2]-B structures can be produced directly without any thermal treatment by using controlled reaction conditions.

Photoelectrochemical study on charge transfer properties of TiO2-B nanowires with an application as humidity sensors
Article Abstract:
Synthesis of one-dimensional (1-D) TiO2-B nanowires is conducted through a facile solvothermal route. With relative humidity increased from 5% to 95%, about one and half orders of magnitude change in resistance is observed in the Tio2-B nanowire based surface-type humidity sensors.
